Low dining has become the new trend in the garden and is now unstoppable. Low dining literally means: dining low! A low garden table with comfortable matching armchairs and benches, so you can both eat and relax. Teak garden bench ALFA with a length of 240cm and a seat height of 36cm goes with the teak garden table ALFA low dining 260cm. Royal Design has added this long bench to the ALFA series to give even more people a place at the table. This teak bench offers space for at least 4 adults. Can you imagine how many children will fit on one bench! You can choose to place a similar bench at the other side of the table. But what also combines beautifully, are the ALFA teak low dining armchairs from the same series.
Clean your teak garden furniture regularly. Teak wood requires little maintenance, but the better it is treated, the longer it will last. To remove stubborn dirt, simply use a soft brush and some water with green soap. Be careful not to permanently damage the fibres. For this reason, you should never use a high-pressure cleaner to clean wood.
Depending on the weather conditions, teak wood should be thoroughly cleaned at least once a year. For a thorough cleaning we recommend our teak cleaner. This product degreases and cleans teak thoroughly and profoundly. It also removes dirt and stains.
To keep your teak furniture beautiful for a longer time, we advise you to treat your furniture with our teak protector after using the teak cleaner. With this protector your furniture will retain its light brown colour for longer. The big advantage of this protector; it is not oil and therefore not greasy. Do you think it is beautiful when your garden furniture ages? Then we only recommend using the teak cleaner. The teak protector is not necessary.
You can order the teak cleaner and teak protector online.

The differences
Choosing the right fabric?
Luxury fabric
Our luxury fabrics are so beautifully woven and patterned that they are indistinguishable from regular upholstery fabrics. The colours with a lively structure create more depth in the cushions. This gives them a luxurious look. All luxury fabrics also feel very soft.

An occasional rain shower is no problem.
The luxurious look that Sunbrella fabrics give the cushions is also determined by the beautiful colours you can choose from and the structure of the fabrics. There are fabrics with a slightly woven structure, such as the Wet. Elegant and timeless are the Majestic and Lopi series, which reveal a rich depth and give refinement to your furniture. The more yarns/threads are incorporated in the fabric, the denser and heavier the fabric becomes. This makes the fabric more precious.
All about
Recycled teak
Teak is an Asian hardwood and an exceptionally durable wood type. It is a greasy, hard wood type with natural water-repellent properties and therefore resistant to all weather conditions. Teakwood does not dry out as quickly as other types of wood. It is resistant to rain, sun, weather and wind! Due to the popularity of teak wood, a scarcity has arisen in recent years. We have found the solution in recycled teak. You can recognize this by the filler pieces in the furniture and it gives the furniture a unique, individual appearance. The wood comes from old buildings, boats, railways and rice boxes that are no longer in use.

Shrinkage and expansion of teak wood
Wood is a natural product that can shrink and expand. This is the result of changing humidity. The more humid the air, the greater the chance that the wood will swell (expand). The drier the air, the greater the chance that the wood will crack (shrink). This natural effect of wood is part of a wooden product and is not a complaint that can be resolved.
Every piece of wood that we select for the garden furniture is unique. Unique in structure, grain and colour. Cracks, small holes, irregularities and/or (open) knots are natural features that characterize the authenticity of the wood. These are not material defects, but a signature that nature has given to the wood. They give the furniture the characteristic, lived-in appearance that makes each piece of furniture unique.
